Wecoma final report for cruise W0108A, 25 August 2001
Wecoma docked in Newport a little after 8pm Saturday 8/25 under calm skies and a beautiful sunset. The captain expertly moved Wecoma sideways to dock behind the R/V Thomas G. Thompson which had arrived earlier that evening around 6pm.
Here are some cruise statistics: 10,690 SeaSoar profiles, 56 CTD stations, 20 MOCNESS and 37 vertical zooplankton net stations, ~3300 km trackline with iron sampling, 8.5 Gigabytes of MicroSoar data, 6.5 Gigabytes of HTI bioacoustics data, 40 megabytes of ADCP data, 335 filtered chlorophyll samples and 3 drifters deployed. Whew!
Sunday will be a busy day offloading SeaSoar and zooplankton sampling gear and preparing for the mooring recovery cruise which is scheduled to leave at 1000 on Monday 8/27.
