May23 Thompson Report
Report for May 22-23, work along CH line
We completed two more Chameleon cross sections (07 and 08) and 09 is underway with simultaneous pump profiling for optics and nutrients. For fixed depth sampling, we did a five depths at CH-1 this afternoon, and will do offshore or midshelf tomorrow morning. Inshore chlorophyll levels have tripled over the last two days.
We had radio contact with WECOMA early afternoon and they passed us going north around 5 pm. All systems working well. We will have a very nice time series over the changing currents shown in Kosro's coastal radar data from May 19-23. We plan to stay along the CH-line through Saturday and WECOMA plans to be back in the north box on Saturday.
