Subject: Re: from RevelleHi Jack,
Jim's group needs more time to set up and we have delayed departure until 18:00 on Wed Jan 15. We will head north incorporating most of Goldfinger's line and stop at 08:00 Thurs Jan 16 for a 2-3 h towing test of both sets of gear. Our ETA on the CH line is 05:00 Sunday Jan 19. We plan to start with a fixed pump station probably at CH-6, some surveying for the crab pot situation, deployment of Jim's bottom mooring and then starting the vertical profiling.
Today, we are making progress in solving the other problems. We will have the -80 freezer on board this afternoon. The ship's refrigerator and freezer are still being repair. Work proceeds with set up of the bottom mooring winch and the transducer should be installed this afternoon. We are all enjoying the fine S. California weather.
